puppenklub

- was founded in 2016
- is led by the qualified puppeteer Lena Wimmer
- is currently between 13 and 16 years old and 12 people tall
- rehearses every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

This offer is aimed at young people aged 9 and over. The work in the puppet club focuses intensively on puppet and acting techniques. The participants research different types of puppets and masks as well as materials. The way the group works is very dialogic and involves the young people in (almost) all artistic decisions: the productions are designed together, materials are made, puppets and stage sets are built and costumes are designed. The rehearsals take place close to the material and learning the puppet handling techniques takes up a lot of space. This involves the challenge of considering lines of sight, coordinating movements precisely with the material, paying attention to the other actors and at the same time finding joy in playing the character. With a great affinity for aesthetic means, content is examined for possible pictorial implementation. This results in productions with a clear aesthetic concept and formal styles of play.
